The film “The Lake” by Sofija Hristovska deals with the theme of “Old Age.” The protagonist is an 80-year-old man who loves life and behaves like a child. However, he is taken to a nursing home, where his life changes drastically. He is faced with the challenge of living by other people’s rules and tries to adapt to a world that is new and unacceptable to him.
The film was part of the Development and Production Program for a Graduate or Debut Short Feature Film at the Mediterranean Film Festival “Across the Lake.” It is also the master’s thesis project of film and television director Sofija Hristovska.
